(1) A candidate or an election representative or any other person to give or permit a voter to exercise his right to vote or not to exercise his right to vote or to exercise his right to vote or not in cash or in kind in the form of gift, prize, reward, donation or box during the election period or To organize a public banquet and also the voter shall not accept or allow to receive such cash or goods for such purpose and participate in the public banquet.
(2) A person who contravenes sub-section (1) shall be punished with a fine up to fifty thousand rupees or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with both.
